Buffalo Cauliflower Steak Recipe | Air Fryer & Baked

Thick cauliflower steaks air-fried or oven-baked to golden perfection, glazed in zesty buffalo sauce. A vegan, high-fiber, flavor-packed meal or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large cauliflower head

  • 1 tbsp olive or avocado oil

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s)

  • 2 tbsp vegan butter or olive oil

  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Optional Garnish:

  • Fresh herbs

  • Vegan ranch dressing

  • Sesame seeds or scallions

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 380°F or oven to 425°F.

  • Slice cauliflower into ¾–1″ steaks. Brush with oil and season with spices.

  • Air fry for 17–20 min (flip halfway) or bake for 35–40 min (flip at 20 min).

  • In saucepan, warm hot sauce with vegan butter and maple syrup.

  • Brush cooked steaks with sauce. Return to air fryer/oven for 3–5 min.

  • Serve hot with dressing or fresh garnish.

Notes

For crispier texture, add cornstarch before cooking. Store cooked steaks up to 3 days. Reheat and glaze before serving.
