Thick cauliflower steaks air-fried or oven-baked to golden perfection, glazed in zesty buffalo sauce. A vegan, high-fiber, flavor-packed meal or snack.
1 large cauliflower head
1 tbsp olive or avocado oil
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Buffalo Sauce:
1/3 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s)
2 tbsp vegan butter or olive oil
1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Optional Garnish:
Fresh herbs
Vegan ranch dressing
Sesame seeds or scallions
Preheat air fryer to 380°F or oven to 425°F.
Slice cauliflower into ¾–1″ steaks. Brush with oil and season with spices.
Air fry for 17–20 min (flip halfway) or bake for 35–40 min (flip at 20 min).
In saucepan, warm hot sauce with vegan butter and maple syrup.
Brush cooked steaks with sauce. Return to air fryer/oven for 3–5 min.
Serve hot with dressing or fresh garnish.
For crispier texture, add cornstarch before cooking. Store cooked steaks up to 3 days. Reheat and glaze before serving.
