Soft, chewy, chocolatey fudgey brownie cookies with a rich, fudgy center and slightly crisp edges.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Mix melted butter and chocolate until smooth. Stir in sugars.

  • Whisk in eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.

  • Sift cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold into wet mixture.

  • Fold in chocolate chips or chunks if desired.

  • Scoop dough into 2-inch balls on baking sheet.

  • Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.

  • Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

Sprinkle sea salt for extra flavor or add nuts/chocolate chunks for variation. Chill dough for thicker cookies.
