1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped chocolate or chocolate chunks

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

  • Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.

  • Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; fold into wet mixture.

  • Fold in chocolate chips and chunks.

  • Scoop dough onto baking sheet, flatten slightly.

  • Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft.

  • Cool 5 minutes on sheet, then transfer to wire rack
