Crispy oven baked sweet potato fries made with just a few pantry staples. Naturally gluten-free and deliciously golden on the edges — perfect as a side or snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes (about 1.52 lbs)

  • 1½ tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp olive or avocado oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Peel and cut sweet potatoes into thin ¼-inch fries.

  • Soak in cold water for 30–60 mins (optional), then dry completely.

  • Toss fries with cornstarch until coated. Add oil and seasonings; toss again.

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Spread fries in single layer with space between.

  • Bake 15 mins, flip, then bake 12–18 mins more.

  • Optional: Broil for last 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.

  • Cool briefly, then serve hot with your favorite dip.

Notes

Use arrowroot or potato starch if needed. For air fryer, cook in batches at 375°F for 12–15 minutes.
