Crispy oven baked sweet potato fries made with just a few pantry staples. Naturally gluten-free and deliciously golden on the edges — perfect as a side or snack.
2 large sweet potatoes (about 1.5–2 lbs)
1½ tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp olive or avocado oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
Black pepper, to taste
Peel and cut sweet potatoes into thin ¼-inch fries.
Soak in cold water for 30–60 mins (optional), then dry completely.
Toss fries with cornstarch until coated. Add oil and seasonings; toss again.
Preheat oven to 425°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread fries in single layer with space between.
Bake 15 mins, flip, then bake 12–18 mins more.
Optional: Broil for last 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
Cool briefly, then serve hot with your favorite dip.
Use arrowroot or potato starch if needed. For air fryer, cook in batches at 375°F for 12–15 minutes.
