1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla, stirring until combined.
Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; fold into wet mixture.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop dough onto prepared sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
Cool 5 minutes on sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
