Hearty Ranch Green Beans & Potatoes – Simple & Flavorful

A flavorful, hearty side dish featuring tender green beans, creamy potatoes, all tossed in zesty ranch seasoning. Perfect for family dinners, holidays, or potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed

  • 1 lb baby potatoes, diced

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 23 tbsp water (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy, then remove and crumble. Set aside.

  • In the same pan, sauté onion in bacon fat until softened, then add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

  • Add diced potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes until starting to soften.

  • Add green beans and cook for 5–7 minutes until tender.

  • Sprinkle ranch seasoning over vegetables, stir in water to dissolve seasoning, and combine.

  • Stir in crumbled bacon, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a creamier version, add a dollop of sour cream or a splash of cream at the end.

  • Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Substitute the bacon with turkey bacon or omit for a vegetarian version.
