Zesty Creamy Lemon Feta Pasta combines tender pasta with a bright lemon sauce and creamy feta cheese finished with garlic, olive oil, and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

12 ounces linguine or spaghetti
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 large lemon, zested and juiced
1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
1/4 cup reserved pasta cooking water
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or cream optional
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley or basil, chopped

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Cook pasta until tender with slight firmness.

  • Reserve one cup pasta cooking liquid and drain pasta.

  • Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.

  • Stir in lemon juice and lemon zest.

  • Add a few spoonfuls of reserved pasta water.

  • Add cooked pasta and toss gently.

  • Crumble feta into the skillet and stir until creamy.

  • Add Greek yogurt or cream if a smoother sauce is desired.

  • Season with black pepper and salt if needed.

  • Toss with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Notes

Extra lemon zest can brighten flavor just before serving.
Spinach or cherry tomatoes add color and texture.
