Crack Burgers are juicy beef patties mixed with bacon, cheddar, ranch seasoning, and cream cheese, grilled until tender and served on toasted buns.
1 1/2 pounds ground beef 80/20
6 slices bacon cooked and chopped
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
4 ounces cream cheese softened
1 packet ranch seasoning mix about 1 ounce
4 to 6 burger buns
Optional lettuce tomato red onion extra cheese slices
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain and chop.
In a large bowl combine ground beef chopped bacon shredded cheddar cream cheese and ranch seasoning. Mix gently until just combined.
Divide mixture into 4 to 6 equal portions and shape into patties about 3/4 inch thick. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty.
Preheat grill or skillet to medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
Cook patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Toast buns lightly on the grill or in a pan.
Rest burgers for 3 to 5 minutes then assemble on buns with desired toppings.
Avoid overmixing to keep burgers tender. Chill patties briefly before cooking if mixture feels soft. Add jalapeños or smoked paprika for extra flavor.
