Easy Fudgy Brownies are rich, moist, and intensely chocolatey homemade treats that are quick to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.

  • Melt butter and chocolate together over low heat until smooth; cool slightly.

  • Stir in granulated and brown sugar.

  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.

  • Sift flour, cocoa, and salt; fold into wet mixture.

  • Fold in chocolate chips or chunks if desired.

  • Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth top.

  • Bake 25–30 minutes until edges are set and center has moist crumbs.

  • Cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Optional mix-ins include nuts, chocolate chips, caramel swirls, or espresso powder. Vegan and gluten-free adaptations possible.
