Fudgy, chocolate-rich brownie crinkle cookies with a crackled powdered sugar top and a hint of sea salt.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating
Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment.
  • Cream butter with sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Sift and fold in cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dough, roll in powdered sugar, and place on sheets.
  • Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and bake 10–12 minutes.
  • Cool 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill dough for less spreading. Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor. Freeze for later use.
