Juicy chicken koftas flavored with Middle Eastern spices and herbs, served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce. Easy to make, perfect for weeknights or meal prep.
1 lb ground chicken (preferably thigh)
¼ cup grated onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
½ tsp paprika
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tbsp chopped mint
¼ cup breadcrumbs or almond flour
1 egg
1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
Garlic Yogurt Sauce:
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 garlic clove, grated
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
Pinch of salt
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, onion, garlic, spices, herbs, breadcrumbs, and egg.
Shape into 8–10 koftas with wet hands.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook koftas in batches, 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
For sauce, combine yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt. Let rest 10 minutes.
Serve koftas with sauce, herbs, and optional veggies.
Use ground chicken thigh for juicier koftas. Can be baked at 400°F for 18–20 minutes. Substitute turkey, lamb, or beef if desired.
