Delicious Grilled Steak and Shrimp Skewers with Garlic Butter Sauce feature tender sirloin and juicy shrimp grilled to perfection and brushed with warm garlic butter.
1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Skewers wooden or metal
Toss steak cubes with olive oil garlic powder smoked paprika salt and pepper. Let rest 20 minutes.
Pat shrimp dry and season lightly with olive oil salt and pepper.
Preheat grill to medium high heat and oil grates.
Thread steak and shrimp onto skewers leaving small spaces between pieces.
Grill 8 to 10 minutes turning every few minutes until shrimp are opaque and steak reaches desired doneness.
Melt butter over low heat and stir in garlic. Cook briefly then remove from heat and add lemon juice and parsley.
Brush cooked skewers with garlic butter and rest 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
Do not overcook shrimp. Cut steak pieces evenly for consistent cooking. Add vegetables between pieces if desired.
