Tender Crock Pot Angel Chicken is an easy comfort food favorite with slow-cooked chicken in a creamy, herbed sauce served over delicate angel hair pasta.
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1 can (10.5 oz) golden mushroom soup
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
12 oz angel hair pasta, cooked separately
Optional: fresh parsley or Parmesan for garnish
In a saucepan, whisk together soup, cream cheese, melted butter, wine/broth, and Italian dressing mix until smooth.
Place chicken in the bottom of a crockpot. Pour sauce evenly over the chicken.
Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2.5–3 hours.
Before serving, cook angel hair pasta according to package instructions.
Slice or shred chicken and serve over pasta with plenty of sauce. Garnish as desired.
Substitute cream of chicken for mushroom soup if needed. For extra flavor, add mushrooms or spinach in the last 30 minutes of cooking. Leftovers store well for up to 3 days.
