This 30-Minute Wonton Soup is a comforting, quick-to-make classic filled with tender wontons, fragrant broth, and fresh greens. Perfect for busy nights or cozy weekends when you need warmth in a bowl.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp grated ginger

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)

  • 2 cups baby bok choy or spinach

  • 2025 wontons (fresh or frozen)

  • Green onions, for garnish

Optional Homemade Wonton Filling:

  • ½ lb ground chicken or pork

  • 2 green onions, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • ½ tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • In a pot, heat sesame oil; sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.

  • Add broth, soy sauce, and vinegar; bring to a simmer.

  • Drop in wontons and cook until they float (4–8 minutes).

  • Add bok choy or spinach and cook 2 minutes.

  • Garnish with green onions and chili oil if desired.
