This 30-Minute Wonton Soup is a comforting, quick-to-make classic filled with tender wontons, fragrant broth, and fresh greens. Perfect for busy nights or cozy weekends when you need warmth in a bowl.
6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp grated ginger
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)
2 cups baby bok choy or spinach
20–25 wontons (fresh or frozen)
Green onions, for garnish
Optional Homemade Wonton Filling:
½ lb ground chicken or pork
2 green onions, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp sesame oil
1 tsp cornstarch
In a pot, heat sesame oil; sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
Add broth, soy sauce, and vinegar; bring to a simmer.
Drop in wontons and cook until they float (4–8 minutes).
Add bok choy or spinach and cook 2 minutes.
Garnish with green onions and chili oil if desired.
