Cajun Shrimp with Garlic Butter Sauce is a bold, flavorful dish featuring tender shrimp coated in a spicy Cajun seasoning and rich garlic butter, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat
Cooked rice, pasta, or crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  • Pat shrimp dry and toss with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat, cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  • Melt butter in the skillet, sauté garlic 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in lemon juice and optional red pepper flakes. Return shrimp to skillet, toss 1–2 minutes in sauce.
  • Sprinkle parsley and serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with bread.

Notes

Adjust spice and garlic to taste. Can add vegetables or substitute olive oil for butter. Serve immediately for best texture.
