A colorful Italian-style pasta salad with bow tie pasta, vegetables, salami, and mozzarella tossed in Italian dressing.

Ingredients

2 cups bow tie pasta (farfalle)
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup cucumber, diced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup salami, diced
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, cubed
1/4 cup black or Kalamata olives, sliced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup Italian dressing
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh basil or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Cook pasta until al dente, drain, and rinse under cold water.
  • Prepare vegetables and cheese, dice salami.
  • Combine pasta, vegetables, salami, olives, and cheese in a large bowl.
  • Pour dressing over salad and sprinkle Parmesan. Toss gently.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and add herbs.
  • Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. Stir before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking pasta. Add fresh herbs just before serving for best flavor. Can make ahead.
